You could give the upgrades a chance at failing that increases the more times a ship is upgraded. So, you could get a T22 Unforge but it's going to cost a stupid amount. Just make a formula that caps at 1% chance at success when trying to upgrade above the 10th tech level.

I feel like this is a half assed solution to save time. It opens quite a few worm cans while not addressing the issues regarding some of the current ships being underpowered. It also does not upgrade a good number of ships to "ship hull aug standard", which removes a lot of potential from underused ships. Other ships are not going to feel good with reduced augmenter slots no matter if they were Tech 26.

There's a huge clusterfuck of content called "Dungeon Galaxies". You can put in random pieces of stuff into those droptables and nothing else needs to be touched.

If you actually needed people to come up with stats and blueprint requirements, you could have just asked. There's a few who'd do it for free, and a great many more who'd do it for minor compensation.

i just thought about it. how about the ship tech upgrade will be like the other stuffs on FM which uses Space points. and the cost scales to tech level like from t0-t1 is 1 point , t1-t2 is 2 point and so on like on still point system but space points. but still cap aug limits to 3 max cuz we all agree that t22 HM and t22 prawn is broken . . . well you guys get the idea. you get max tech ships you like but at a cost. . .

btw for some reason i got 1 space point i dont know where it came from XD
