Always great to hear about client optimization.

no way to tell for sure how much of a difference it will make yet tho. The new compiler comes with new automatic optimizations but also change the order of execution on a few things and resulted in lower fps but with higher logic fps, hence why its not in a beta client yet.
The main reason why i didnt abandon it right away after seeing the fps drop, was that the new compiler come with new sets of commands that offer faster interthread communication (namely the std::atomic) which should allow for a lot of the mutex we currently use to separate the render from the logic to be replaced with atomic values instead and that should in theory give a substancial boost on performance since mutex lock is a rather slow process. _________________ One of the first and proud flight controller.
