Since patch beta client hasnt been working, could we get an update?

Not sure about that update, should be coming soon though.

In other news, we did UZ with pre-UZ ships (Rosmarinus/Assault Behemoth/Death Striker/Pax Astro/App Ward) and pre UZ augs. Smashed everything but Emperor then the server crashed. Probably could do Emperor, and if not we could always just bring more people.

I'll have to take a step back from UZ and look at the Pre UZ bosses to to see what might need to be adjusted, although I think Mad Scientist/Brute Force could definitely use an update. We'll see.

could you be a little more specific ? What is not working on it ? any error message ?

There was a 5 minutes period at the begining where a dll was missing, if you get a complain about irrklang.dll not being here, run the patchbot again its here now.

I just realised that most people probably do not have vs 2015 redistributable installed so i added those to the automatic installs from the patchbot, re run the patchbot if you still get a dll error, it should be corrected now. If it still does not work, please give more info on what the problem is and I'll gladly get it fixed.

Yup patchbot fixed it. Another thing i was wondering, will there ever be a point where regular client will run better then beta, for MCing purposes anyways?

What about the Overpowered Base Changes?
What about Bobo his event system?
What about the new BvB slot thingie that enkelin came up with?
What about the MF2 meta, and the things that DarkSteel he would discuss with fellow devs?
What about steam release? Everyone sees the announcement on Steam, but nothing from the devs side of things.
What about uni reset?

Beta client is just a special client that nearly always get the updates first.
Since the last patch up to today, the beta client and the live client were identical (and the live client was the previous beta client).

Right now, its being used to test the new compiler to help ensure no new crashes are introduced and performance isn't regressing. Once the beta client has been used for a while without problem, it will become the live client (likely alongside the next full patch) and the cycle continue.

If you played on the live client currently, you would have the same performance / features as the "beta" client you were on before the new update today, since they were identical.

The only difference between beta and live client when its marked as live in the version on your connection screen, is that file named "betaclient" in your client folder, which tell the live client to check for beta update if any are available.

Universe reset announcement will happen sooner to the reset time, we guarantee a two week heads up. The steam release information is pending, in the event of a delay we don't want to announce a date and fail to meet it.

Bobbo's event system is still a wip, on those new systems theres often months between it being first implemented, and it making it live (alongside multiple iterations to the system before that). That's why usually i try to not mention things too much as they are in early stage of development since it usually reach a point where theres little new to say about it but it's still there. Obviously bobbo could give a more precise answer, my answer here is generic to most of such new features. On many occasions we only announce the feature once its nearly done, to avoid the long periods players dont like in between the initial mention and it making it live.

The new bvb slots was not mentioned simply because i did not feel it needed a new mention of it. But if you must know, i finished coding the implementation for it, where bvb bases use a separate pool of slots and convert to normal slots after the bvb is over, if no slots are available, the players have 12 hours to either free slots, transfer it to a character with slots or abandon it before it abandon and destroy in the same way bvb kit currently abandon and destroy if the fight lasted more than 12 hours. Offcourse, warnings are given about the state of the base, once every hour, including the time left, and when a base do convert successfully, a message is also visible for it.

MF2 meta sounds like a content thing so i wont comment on that :P, I'm sure someone else can.

Steam release is still progressing, there is a lot of things we want ready for it, and honestly there's not much to report on it except that its going forward. Maybe not as fast as wed like, but its not going backward.

Uni reset is not fixed yet, hence the no announcement. As usual you are guaranteed a 2 weeks warning (often more but 2 weeks is the minimum time we give)
