Also consider ruins with the sheer amount of less gals, as for t1-2 I think there are far fewer aside from the highest DF gals, particularly ferm/enukes

the actual amount of every resources did not change, except for the very common resources which the uni generation attempt to spread on as many planets as possible (hence the problem). "rarer" commodities do not share that problem.

The number of rarer commodity planet and their size did not change. What did change is how many planets do not have any (since theres more total planets) so it may feel like theres less but in actuality the number is about same (rng still play a role there).

Are the t2 and t3 resources more abundant in higher df gals ?

And if so how is this scaled ?

I looked at the resource abundance code when I was designing Industrial Commodities a few unis ago, and at that time there was no difference between DF 130 and DF 300 for tier 3 resources. It was programmed with a simple threshold. I can't say for sure if that's still true with the new Wild Space layout but my guess is that it should be since we didn't go near that code.

good job

its taking a little bit longer than planned due to other things i had to get done today, but i now have a functional prototype so its just a matter of fine tuning the numbers and algorithm until it gives exactly the result we want to then its going live.

Does that go for t1 and t2 as well ?

Yes.

goofy has now scanned over 40 gals in wild space and found only 2 Fermium planets/moon

how can this be if the t1/t2 resources are seeded correctly ?

if you don't believe me go scan :)

I scanned about 20 and found 3 (one being a gas giant)

There are more than 40 gals in Wild Space, maybe you just got unlucky?

may be he got unlucky, or you hit the same gals.

even so, that does not sound anything like last uni's distribution.
