Maybe i'm just burnt out from having just come home from work but I cant wrap my head around the new bot system.

Especially this part: Trade bots: Remote Control + Bot Research – Minimum of two.

Is it basically saying that bots take a minimum of 2 slots now? If so then is a nerf to MFM trade swarms for one thing.

Does anyone really use tech 0-1 trade bots?

Many people use t0-1 bots for mining bots. I use a wingship swarm because of their speed to mine asteroids.

most use t0-t1 bots for mining , it would virtually take so many slots to profit from mining if low tech bots took 2 slots . some (me) use t1 traders all the time ? zebu freighters are great for small loads.

uhh could someone just tell me do we have different amount of wild slaves now or combat slaves or trade slaves or teach me how to convert binary into decimal plz.

The point of the change is to allow us not to be penalized for using odd tech bots. With the change with RC 20 and BR 5, you'll have 50 slots, with bot slots = tech of ship. So you could have 5 t10 ships or 5 t9 ships and 1 t5 ship. With the old way you couldn't do that since bot slots = tech ship / 2 rounded up. Not sure what the - 2 minimum means atm but it's not suppose to change the max amount of t20 bots we can have.

I am 98% sure the 2 minimum means a slave will take 2 minimum slots. This is how slaves have been done since deadbeat with a Helga Plus fleet armed with Giga Neuts. Each slave took a minimum of 2 slots which halved the total number of ships deadbeat was able to use. It also made Paximinus and BSTs the lowest slot users with Tech/2.

In layman's terms, it should mean all T0, T1, and T2 slaves will use 2 slots. T3 slaves will use 3 slots, and so on.

Except we've now changed it so you have twice as many slots and bots take slots EQUAL to their tech. So a minimum of two just means that only T0-1 bots are taking more than they otherwise would.

why not leave the t1 and t0 as 1 slot ? as it would improve the minning capabilities of all teams . always low on trade slots when setting up vast asteroid belts . there shouldn't be a penalization for using lowest tech bots ...
