I'd almost say basing it on galaxy was a good idea, except if its the only base in the galaxy it wont make any difference.

I like option 1 the best...

I do; however, have one major concern...

You are lvl 100... Your base has a 'pvp level' of 200... Your range is 90-110ish... Your base's range is 180-220ish...

Option A) You are being attacked, and rezkilled in your own galaxy... Your base won't help defend you, and healing weps aren't really foolproof... I know many ways to dish out more damage than it could possibly regen... This also applies to slaves...

Option B) Your base is being attacked by some level 200s... You can't do anything to help it because you are out of their level range...



Therefore, I think that an option 5, based on option 1 would be best... A 'flagging' system... What I mean by this, is that your base will have its own level, but if if any person attacks either the owners unit, or a unit from the owner's team, the attacker gets flagged... This 'flag' lasts until either A) The person dies one time(to pod, not to spirit)... B) The person leaves the galaxy... or C) The person survives, and makes no hostile action for X minutes (I'm thinking like 5 minutes...)... If either of these three conditions are met, the flag is removed...

This would make it so that all bases could defend each other and the players/slaves of that team, but would also open up the range at which the bases could be attacked...

we definetly shouldnt go with the minimum lvl base bulding requirments. this would ruin the fun of the game for many f2p players, who join the game, just so they can build bases. Bases lvl 1-8 are totaly worthless anyways.

Up to lvl 11 requires no lvl limit (learn the f2p how fun bases are)
lvl 12 requires lvl 200
lvl 13 requires lvl 250
lvl 14 requires lvl 300
lvl 15 requires lvl 350
lvl 16 requires lvl 400
lvl 17 requires lvl 450
lvl 18 requires lvl 500
lvl 19 requires lvl 550
lvl 20 requires lvl 600

This is on laying a base or capping one.
Also there won't be able to improve the base tech if the owner doesn't have the lay lvl.
I know this is fair and you guys know it.
Keep the rest the way it is, else you spent hours and hours of tweaking, nerfing and beefing. This will also release the stress on the servers so we have a less laggy game. If you bother of lag just kill bases :P

It is nice though if a team base get's attacked all team bases defend together, that will suit with this posibility as there won't be uber bases for their lvl, this way a TEAM BASE get's a whole new meaning.

most ppl r mentionging PvP .. easy sloution --> put it bak the way it was...lower lvls can attack highers lvl and higher lvls can only attack lower lvls if they were attacked first..simple enuf :lol:

Locking a fixed level to a base type is a bad idea, making it so the a base could be higher or lower, or in anyway something other than your own level is just asking for trouble.

Locking base type to a level is a bad idea, making it so you have to be a certain level is an incredibly bad idea and no other skill class is locked in such a way you'd have to change the whole game to accomadate this.

Making a team level is a bad idea, unless possibly it could be an average level and then I'd just have my base alts on one team and my other alts on another...

Making an avarage galaxy level is possibly the only alternative apart from going back to how it was. This would allow bases to protect each other depending on their neighbours, but this wouldn't solve anything anyway.

The way it is is working there's an alltime low level of greifing so I'd say Jeff that the only thing to do is keep it as it is and waste your time on other ventures.

Oh on a side note, SLM's idea was the only thing that would've worked to a degree. I think the post got wiped a while back though.

God, the new pvp system is so buggy and not fun for PVP, IMO, go back to the old system.

i like sprinkler's idea.
one, even though us noobs will be denied argo bases, and our priveleges are being taken away daily for no reason, we still have adonis
and two, i think we should keep ot the way it is the most, because if an argo base was lvl 200, any lvl 200 could easily kill it

If your denied argo you may as well not bother at all anyone can kill an adonis base from about level 7 (and possibly lower)

That idea is retarded, my level 361 alt can equip all the gear nescessary for an achilles base, and can drop the kit. Yet, if this system gets implemented, I have to level him 39 times to even lay a tech 16 base.....

The old PvP rules are best.
Fear of your team's bases and players being killed by attacking another team is the best way to go.

I remember this being my main focus for a long time. Getting higher levels and making better bases so i could mess up those bastards that just came in wiped out my noob ass galaxies.

With the pvp limits, I have to spend time leveling if I want to attack some guys. While they are free from retribution from me until I have the time to grind out levels. If I could attack them now because of the old PvP rules, then no sweat. I don't have to level, I can just go out and attack them and then focus back on what I like to spend my time on in game.

If you guys are really serious about fixing the PvP system, then there should be only rules for Higher players attacking lower players. Allow lower players to attack higher players, but have a cap on the Higher being able to attack the lower unless they are attacked first. And make it a Team attack feature.
For Instance if level 850 guy is on Team Pants and is attacked by level 300 guy on Team Buttocks (Intentional Dig), then All levels of Team Pants can attack level 300 guy on Team Buttocks. Make this work for slaves as well (Dont forget about the old noobs killing Level 0 slaves and then whining about being greifed by a high level players uber noob).

Simple you don't attack anyone on a team without being sure you can handle the situation or at least knowing that your team will be able to retaliate. Those few that do sabotage will back in business, but we pretty much already set our teams up so that anyone who does have it happen, does not know his team mates well enough. And besides we all know most of the saboteurs names.

If that is too harsh, then make work on a solution around this idea.
No base building in W0 and no attacking in W0, Except during an Imp Run. open up base building to DF 130. Or maybe let there be a 15 base cap in a galaxy.
There are a few ideas to lessen the impact on the non pvp guys.

I really do not understand this fear of PvP. It is good for the game. It will keep people playing. The only problem you guys need to focus on is the low level people. They do not understand how the game works and what to do or not to do when it comes to other players. So give them time to work it out. They need at least a month to understand how things work in the game ( and i am not just talking about game mechanics, They need to learn how the social team aspect works towards PvP).
Now I come from many games but I stayed, along with 1000's of others, with Ultima Online for 5 years because of the PvP. UO finally made comprimises about the PvP system and destroyed thier PvP base. Instead of doing a combo, they broke the PvP side. Guess what, We all left the game. I left later than others lol. The biggest problem with that game was the new guys getting grief killed and not understanding why. Why did they get killed? because someone could easily do it.

Give the new players protection for a month and let them learn the game and keep some mix of the old PvP rules.
The important part is that everyone should be able to attack everyone.



You guys are still focusing on the few loudest whiners on the forum(forum whores) about PvP. All they really want is no PvP and then they will whine to Have some PvP because that team has all the gals and they are not high enough or don't have good enough equipment that they think they can take the gal from the other team now.

No PvP, means you will lose your higher level player base. simple as that. THis game's strong point is the fact that we can attack other players.

We have to go to extreme measures in the current system just to do that now.

Think about it long and hard before you make changes to go in the same direction you did last time. And when you do decide, please give us a few weeks warning so that we can make ready for the wars or not(lol).

I think the old PvP system was good.

The only problem was snowball effects. If in team a list of all teams with players marked team enemy were listed it would be useful. You could right click the team name and click Mark All. This would mark everyone on that team both Team Friend and Personal Friend of everyone on your team.

Therefore, instead of needing everyone of booth teams on, you only need 1 person from each team on to stop a snowball.
