 Graphics startupI'm having some trouble in SS2, for a few reasons.
Medium graphics -> mission icons are white boxes. High graphics -> Jumping is screwed, warps have coloured boxes around them. Vsync in windowed mode option off -> Computer crashes. High texture quality -> Computer crashes. Full screen mode -> computer crashes. Using ATI Radeon 4830. And no I don't have a dmp file, because it doesn't make one. *EDIT* I can run high and very high normally. No white boxes. Turns out, they come on medium and low too. It's random. When I start up SS, it has a black screen when it loads (you see the star with the orange sphere expanding etc). Then you get the opening sound (can't explain what it sounds like, you know what I mean.) During this sound, it'll freeze. The sound will freeze too, at a certain point, together with the screen. This happens for about half a second, then my screens go black, my comp has now officially reset. _________________ This is not the signature you're looking for. Fear me, I'm a dev. Re: Graphics startup i get the same white model issues, white boxes round stuff. Can only play on low if it even starts, if it does i get blocky white artifacts round everything. 8800GT card. grey login screen sometimes.

Vsync -> ON Windowed -> ON Texture load on start -> ON High quality texture -> OFF Use hardware cursor -> ON Pixel depth -> 32 Reso -> Custom (1220x928) Graph quality -> High _________________ This is not the signature you're looking for. Fear me, I'm a dev. |
