I don't know about you, but to me this doesn't look right.
That's AWC+ with the texture Ares2.png AWC is 230, AWC+ is 238 and 234 is the Warrior. _________________ "What you mean you killed him cha cha cha?!" Support |

Sigh. Thanks for the reply Blue Dwarf. Biggee, any idea why that doesn't look right? I also noticed that the regular AWC has the corresponding part of its image turned black as well, where it used to be red.

I'm not quite sure but it seems that ares2 is the warrior specifically or something like that. I'll have to do a bit of testing when I get back to my apt, but i'll figure it out one way or another. I'm currently on an extended vacation, but i'll be back by next week.

My guess is that Ares2.png is in fact the intended texture for the AWC+. Granted, it isn't very true to how the AWC+ looked in C1, but if you throw the glowmap on there it looks pretty badass
Also, I can tell from looking at it myself that the screenshot blue dwarf gave was near a blue sun, so all the whites were tinted blue. looks better like this: Attachment: awc+.png Attachment: awc+2.png Although, I'm not sure thats an improvement over this: Attachment: awc+3.png or the same with ares2_glow for the glowmap... cant attach 4 T_T Taking a second look at both textures, they both include features that would not be rendered at all on the standard oly ship model, namely the rear fins. However, neither texture includes distinct features for the front fins... actually it has neither the front fins of the AWC nor the one for the + New discovery, which requires more attachments so new post... Ok so on a whim i threw the delquad texture on the Ares.obj model, and i think it looks more like C1 AWC+

right click on the image above, save as... to the textures folder of SS2, name it Ares
then restart SS disclaimer: this also changes regular AWC, but that doesnt look right atm anyways so who cares? realistically we need red front panels for the regular AWC, and then it would be two different textures for the two ships _________________ Pies are yummy. |
