They face the opposite directions.
What I mean is that the shrimp+ simply flyes backwards all the time and doesn't seem to care that it's not right. |

It's not a bug because the admins thought a backwards Shrimp looked like a Mini-Prawn. They were planning on turning both the Shrimp and the Shrimp+ backwards to fit the Captain Kidd theme even though the ship is encountered long before Kidd and roaming Shrimp AI's are not considered pirates lore or AI behavior-wise.
Captain Kidd was introduced with normal forward Shrimps, but the Shrimp+ was patched in to be backwards. A few people found the original "Client 2" poster, which featured a Prawn escorted by a pair of backwards Shrimps, and half the game complained it made the ship look ugly. Admins abandoned the notion of trying to flip their fronts around, but forgot to change the Shrimp+ back. So no, not a bug, but definitely not intended either. |

You guys really need to be able to fix stuff mid universe, instead of "I fix it a month ago, but we can't patch it until reset". That's not fixing. It's fixed when you patch it, at reset. It's not reset now, so it's not fixed.
Also that problem was reported in May 2012, what took you developers so long in fixing it? If we get an actual problem, you guys make it out that it will be fixed years down the road. Unacceptable for even a 1 man band game. |

We haven't patched since I fixed it.
