Hello :) What exactly was this issue? I need a bit more detailed information, if not I have no clue what this bug is about :)

i think its a graphic issue. . . some times the half right of the screen turns black and only renders the ship . . . some times other places turn black. . . i'll place a screenie if it happens again. . .

A screenshot would indeed be great :) Without anything like that, there is little we can do :wink:

Allow me to explain that one a little more for you devs:-

For some time now, when you first dock at a base, particularly a hq, (after a login), the game lag's down to 1fps or less for a min or so, thus, the lag killer turns everything black, or parts of the screen, depending on play screen resolution, to the point where it might not return to full normal rendering, such that only the names of things appear! If your an 800x600 player, that's most of the game screen!

If you jump out and move on through systems, it might sudenly return to full rendering, but I've noticed i often have to shut down client and restart, NOT do the /f thing, as the low-fps lag-killer settings seem to be over-compensating...

It seems to me to be a lag-killer related issue... would seem that lag-killer downs the rendering too much, and fails to torque it back up when fps returns to normal. That's where the problem lie's, and obviously has a graphics related issue there-in.

You can force the maximum lag killer level with:
/lku #
And the minimum level with:
/llkl #

Essentially, doing this will turn lagkiller off:
/lku 0


Although that doesn't really address the issue, it might offer some improvement while we work on it.

i think its not about lag or anything it just happens. with my computer specs SS will not even lag, unless it is server sided or my net suddenly screw up. for me it just happen randomly. its even hard to reproduce. only thing i can do when this happen is kill the client and revive it again
