Must be one heck of a ship if your docking speed breaks the numbers on the UI.
All joking aside, how exactly did this happen? _________________ It's showtime. |

If you have an ace pill active, it will multiply your UI's docking speed readout every time you warp. Old bug.

It was with an Ace in a Pill tweak; but the other problem was that I did come across at the same time, was that the docking speed was really really high for real.
My normal docking speed with Ace in a Pill was around 30, but after docking and redocking it kept multiplying, and increasing. Now that I think about it, it's not the UI that is bugged, but the code with Ace in a Pill that keeps multiplying when docking and redocking. It was just a mere Prawn with no Docking Speed bonusses from gear. |

Interesting. I always thought it was a display bug but I only saw it on SD (full docking speed with Pills anyway).

Yeah, I reported this bug 2 years ago trough a ticket after finding it wasn't just a display bug. Admin didn't see it as a big deal.
Multiplying also works when docking. _________________ Valkyrie300 wrote: You need to thoroughly think before sprouting exaggerated statements |

Doesn't affect gameplay. Doesn't drastically affect readouts. Doesn't make anyone ragequit. Doesn't cause bad press on Reddit/Communities. Extremely low priority if needs fixing at all. _________________ ->Aces High ->Fortes Fortuna Juvat ->Up with irons |

As others have mentioned, this really isn't that high priority of a bug which is probably why its been here so long. That being said, I just stumbled on to what was causing it and I fixed it.

Turns out, the function that calculates how much of a buff the tweak is supposed to give you used the final docking speed value (which includes the docking tweak buff). So whenever the ship stats were recalculated (which happens very often, such as on undock) the tweak buff was getting multiplied in again each and every time, causing it to grow indefinitely. _________________ Hey, I'm Ryan!
