Post subject:  Cloaking+ Different modes.
While playing on the DS, to check what texture looks nice for DS+, I cloaked in travel form, and shot something. This happened:

It also happens when you cloak in attack form, and change back to travel form while in cloak. your cloak will still "cloak" the spikes, while they're already gone.
