Post Drone control failure
VERY OFTEN i find that my drones will simply stop firing at the enemy i have targetted, and seemingly stop firing at all. It usually takes a redeploy to fix them. It is incredibly annoying.

EDIT: I believe it has something to do with the drones focusing on healing instead of attacking, so it might only happen with drones that have both healers and weapons. Possibly this is because their healers are so much more effecient than their damage weapons so they just stop using their damage weapons at all.

Another one: My drones will randomly attack enemies sometimes. This wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the fact that they're attacking greaseballs and meanies. Abruptly getting a dozen rags down your throat in the middle of leveling is far from pleasant.

It's found in C1 as well. But for bases and not drones.

Found some "unaggroed" gals that would shoot me, and me only. :(
(I'm not warred, yet)

Okay, i can report this as a complete fail; drones will not attack anything if you order them to do so. Anything, no healing, no attacking, nothing. It is INCREDIBLY annoying, please fix it!

I just gained 20 levels today with my drones. what are you smoking? magic attacks will not heal you if you have them focus fire on an enemy and vice versa. as well drones that are ordered to focus fire will not fire on other AI if the targeted AI is in radar range. easy way to reset your drones is to select them and then right click open air. usually they then reset to normal drone behaviour.

seems a fair enough compromise for the control given.

No, what i'm saying is that they wont attack ANYTHING when i order them to attack something. They wont heal...attack...nothing. They have energy, and they will occasionally fire, but it seems almost random, with the vast majority of the time spent doing nothing.

Maybe it's just my character, somehow... :?

Have this problem fairly frequently, it's seemingly like a bug in the target preference/override.

1) Deploy drones.
2) Set them to attack a pillbox.
3) Watch a ship the drones have threat to fly into range.
4) Drones will either attack the ship, or sit there and pick their noses.

The above is a sure mixture for drone derpage. I wouldn't be surprised if the OP's scenario was related to this, logic-wise.

Okay, the randomly attacking enemies one is really important to be fixed. My drones just randomly shot at a hotrod...in the middle of about 30 greaseballs. Instant death ensued.

...Not Good. Not good at all.
