It really does not work properly. I had 15 Wasps flying around me and shooting me, yet I could still sit and fire PZHT shots towards the Hive while those Wasps were crossing over my ships plenty of times.
So yeah, collision code really needs some tweaking. |

Not only collision code but I couldnt hit a tiny base on a planet with pulse weapons (hgs, pzht and such) had to use a laser which was bad and got me killed.
Many things in general for example in bio, go watch the termites try and shoot the base on the sun, ridicilouse, the base doesnt even get hurt. |

At least the PZHT I can explain. Thorax-type weapons now rise above the plane of play as they charge, and fire down on their target. That means it's essentially impossible to collision-code anything with them, but they also don't get blocked as much. I still can't decide whether I prefer this to the old way.
I would guess that hitting the base was difficult because some bases seem to attach above the plane of play. _________________ Hi, I'm Anil, a long-time player turned developer. This also goes for when I tractored Poly into a collision code when aiming for Hephaestus. It was basically impossible to get him damaged as most of the shots seemed to go straight through Poly.
