It has something to do with lagkiller I'm sure of it.
If you fire a weapon with particle effects for too long, lets say a 3 shot, once lagkiller starts removing the particle effects from your weapon, it consistently will crash you 5-10 seconds after lag killer goes into effect. I just tested this about 10 times in a row and it is consistent. Right after lagkiller starts removing particles, you crash a few seconds later. Hope this helps. I have put together some screen shots of the test i did, so you can clearly see what i mean. First. Test with firing a weapon that has some heavy particle effect. Running as it should. Attachment: initial.JPG Second. When lagkiller starts, a few minutes after firing a weapon with heavy particle effect. You can clearly see the particles start to wear off. Attachment: fds.JPG Third, and shortly after the particles started failing, crash. Everyone has witnessed this. However, I don't even have lagkiller on and the same thing happens.

Well I told Jey about it and he said that lagkiller hasn't been updated for this patch and is probably why the particle effect was failing after awhile. I think it is good to note that it crashes consistently after your particles start disappearing though. That's what I was getting at. _________________ Death to Pirates! http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/2103/mutes.jpg |

Agreed there. However, it also crashes in other cases.

From what I see the crashes are caused by a massive memory leak. SS is pissing all over our computers.
