I'm not against the mechanics being looked at here but the blanket 'significantly buff mites' suggestion is going to make kits below a certain tech completely redundant if mites can one shot them. Higher tech kit requirements = less base slots and higher entry level for building, for new players particularly that could be an issue, and one which further skews the balance of power toward the top end of the playerbase.

I suggested different termite types, could perhaps balance it by DF? So weaker 'mites that can be beaten by, say, Argo StM kits in w1 -- Up to stronger ones toward DF300?

People managed back when the termites were something of a threat if you let them grow, they'll manage again. The point is that you clear the mounds and don't just leave your galaxies alone for the whole uni, of course.

I did mention that. Thank you for the better value.

300b over a 3.5 monthish uni is approx. 2.8b a day, which is better than / equal to a well run colony character with support from others. I don't think that's a bad income level for holding Emp Bio. But it needs to take an appropriate level of effort.

I pull about 900b of bio and 700b the following uni not to long ago.
