- elec for no reason
This happened to my gunner. No idea what caused it (I'd just transferred some gear about) but it randomly got -2k elec regen, even if I removed everything except the energy bank from my ship. The - elec remained the same regardless of which energy bank I used (so swapping to a flux capacitor just meant I ended up with 0 energy).
Blue dwarf fixed it by changing my ship to a zebu and back again; other than that I can't give any clues to what it might be, just thought I'd make you aware it can/has happened.
*Just to be clear, it wasn't absolute -2k, but whatever my regen was -2k

This maybe? viewtopic.php?f=92&t=61131it doesn't explain why it was -2k though.

Re: - elec for no reason
If you used an item that charges ie: Drone/Warp-Device and then unequip it, it still takes away elec sometimes even if you remove it. Try to re-equip everything and let it all charge.

I removed everything and then re-requipped everything more than once and sat there for 30? minutes until bobbo fixed it. Nothing on my ship took that kind of elec either, it was a gunner.

I like this bug. It keeps showing up and it just destroys your ability to play until an admin deletes your ship. Pretty cool imo.

Re: - elec for no reason
This was happening to me when i would use PWI and then while it charged i unequipped it. It would keep draining my energy until i equipped it again and let it charge all the way up. I even transferred it to another ship and nothing. Something similar probably happened to you.

Re: - elec for no reason
I'm taking a look at this - I definitely see the issue where if I unequip the pwi my ship energy keeps decharging. However, if I transfer it to another ship or global storage, my energy starts going up again. I'll see if I can get a hold of both of you (salty and red - and Lemon?) in game to see if there is any other info that might be helpful to me.
Not sure what would cause -2k though or for 30 minutes. If we can reproduce that on test I might have a real shot at fixing it.

The negative SS angry bird! ---- I couldn't find the other topic about this, Jey did post though that it could be a old bug where a packet is lost that results in negative energy regen.

It use to be that a super item had to charge when you first equip them. Now they are fully charged as soon as you equip them. Which is pretty broken in some cases.
