Here's my reinterpretaiton of the Hotrod, this one with a + color scheme. I'll look much better when I have textures as I plan to have a grill of sorts on the front and exposed mechanical stuff on the engine pods like the driver is showing off his ride's block. Or something in hotrod terminology... Anywho, I figure the HR Mega, instead of just being a larger version of the model, could have an extendable cannon come out of the structure under the nose of the ship in a manner similar to Spike Spiegel's Swordfish II. The reason I wanted to remake the Hotrod is because the current model looks more like a cross between a 70s muscle car and Luke's landspeeder from A New Hope, there's just not much of a hotrod look to it in my eye. |

SimonV2 wrote: i like everything cept the chin. Yea, I might tone it down or try to balance it more with the back end, but the idea is still for the Mega to have a retractable turret built into it. The idea comes from the aforementioned Swordfish II, which you can see below: Swordfish II  Firing Plasma Artillery

Actually, for the HR and HR+ I might could add smaller, non-retractable cannons in the chin to give reason for it to still be there on those models; only the Mega would have a giant artillery gun. |
