Regardless of whether you re-model it, I'm texturing it as I write this post.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Here's the TMap so far:

Note that the red zones are things I haven't colored in yet.

EDIT: Attached some renders of the model with the WIP TMap on it.

Curves flow, angles are sharp. That texturing (or the model as a whole) looks way too flowing for the sharp angles that it seem to want to use. Or, the angle outlines are too ...I don't know how to describe it...but red with thing white outlines.

Manually.

I selected and mapped each set of polygons I felt should go together on their own using my mouse. UVW Wrap Maps (the 100 pieces thing) is how I used to do stuff. But those were ugly.

@church: I haven't colored in (and thus extended the border of) the red parts yet, which is why the white lines are painfully obvious. They won't be apparent when I'm done.

EDIT: Completed, Animated, and saved as both a .x and a .obj. The Animation Name for the .x is "Anim1".

I can't load the imgur page on my PC atm, but my friends can, so here's hoping others can as well. The screenshots also seem to have some weird thing where the ship is bleached white.

Actually the seams look pretty cool, it could be hull plating or something. If it was shiny black or grey instead of red.

No no, Claer. I think the painfully obvious lines look awesome, if they were more obvious and stood out more.

The problem is that the sharp angled ship looks way too flowing to do it justice. It's like making an Empire State Building and someone telling you it looks like a bunch of cylinders instead of a bunch of rectangles.

I kind of like it's style. It's very unusual to find a ship which is flowing, yet angular at the same time. Plus my Textures are smexy :)

But it's an angular ship that looks more flowing than angular.

Well it looks great. the only thing i did not take the size in to con consideration. one question how big is it in the game? I did not think of the size it would be in the game.
Do you think it is to small, big , or you think it is just fine?

The client automatically scales it to be the right size (and we can override that in a visage).

Also, your model will not work, as I have made some modifications to the one in the zip folder, including stretching it to be longer.
