And neither do fighter jets, done.

You're the one labeling them fighter jets. They could be aerodynamic fighters with rocket engines (which work in atmosphere).

You're using concept art to justify some baseless position? Good day to you sir, you can "argue" with yourself.

Your own signature pretty much sums up this thread.

You're using technology from modern day to describe your position about a game set thousands of years in the future? Good day to YOU sir, you can sit in the corner by yourself.

Well. sure you dont need aerodynamics in space, and true you need it in atmosphere. Whether or not it can fly in atmosphere or not does not matter since SS has no atmosphere to fly in.... However theres nothing to say that something cant look aerodynamically badass! Plus i think it looks sexy....

And if you want to be technical about it you might want to look at some SS ships whos engins emits smoke and flames in space witch is non oxygnated. Also this game is in the future which means any modern technology advances means nothing in the game.

I'm just saying that a ship that obviously looks like a fighter jet down from everything all the way down to the landing gear probably doesn't have a place in SS; it just doesn't fit the art style. I'm not pushing for realism, i'm just an advocate of appropriate context and while I agree that smoke clouds in space aren't realistic, I think they are at least aesthetically pleasing enough to get away with that lack of realism.

This model on the other hand isn't at the point of aesthetically pleasing. Obviously this is my opinion, but that's where I come from as far as spaceship design.

aesthetically pleasing is opinionated true. but that why there are so many ships in SS to aesthetically please every one. Use it or dont use it its up to you, and or the rest of the staff. thank you

Radical solution time: Orient the spaceship the opposite direction.

Looks like a fighter jet? Flip it the other way and it looks like an alien stingray thing. Very organic.

I honestly do see where biggie is coming from. Aerodynamics is not something that engineers appreciate, it slows down their progress, because within our atmosphere most aircraft have to be built to certain specifications otherwise they will burn hugely unnecessary amounts of fuel, and/or not fly at all. So what makes a jet fighter look cool is also its most inconvenient and counterproductive characteristic.

If you told an engineer to design the most efficient vessel for travel in a resistance free environment(space) it would look more like this:

than this:

Who cares about any of this stuff? If it looks cool add it!
