Since the bana ai are sort of the aliens of the current SS, I got bored and decided to give them a look closer towards the Aliens in AVP type things, tried to keep it not too dark due to the dark SS background and gave it some alien green highlights Here's the texture  And a screenshot of in game

What if you changed those green bits to a red? Say... Mhmmm... 7f0000, or maybe something around b00000-d03f3f? It could kinda cool... 7f0000 could be a bit dark, though. |

Red on blood red ship foreground and black space background...terrible contrast. |

Here Blue Dwarf, since you asked about a red color, I tried two different red colors first was the 700000 that you first suggested and then second was in the range you gave I tried CE2121 so here is the textures and in-game look at those two. 700000 texture  In-game  CE2121 Texture  In-game  I think the first one came in a bit on the too dark side, second one looks a bit easier to see though. They were quick textures so a bit fuzzy/messy, but if someone liked with the red, I could clean them up more. |

I like CE2121... I agree, 700000 is way too dark. |
