As much as I like the Saudara model, and I don't mind it as the Wingship V, it just doesn't fit in with the rest of the main line of Wingships. So attached it my version modeled today. If people like it, I'll texture it. For the heck of it, I included people next to the side view for scale and the below sales pitch:

The Wingship V is a light fighter available at the base in Ruby Steppes. Designed for 1-2 people to fly on relatively long excursions (unlike capital-launched fighters), the Wingship V includes a two-seat cockpit, and small living quartes below in the main module. The forward module contains user-installed weapons and Mag Device Vs are fired from each airfoil (3 shots per airfoil). Designed with some influence from earlier wingship models, including the rough shape of the hull, modified with a centrally-located cockpit for high-gee turns in space and now including a ram for scooping interstellar gas for fuel and a thrust-vectoring engine bell, the Wingship V will carry you from galaxy to galaxy and into combat, all in style.

Looks pretty nice. Get that ship textured!

Textures added. I don't have any bump maps in the Maya render, but once it's in the C2 engine, it should look pretty nice with the hull panels and whatnot.

EDIT: Which dev should I send the .obj to and what's the email for that dev (which you can PM me rather than answer here.)

Somepony's been inspired by Battlestar Galactica, I see.

And I think we need to work on getting ships more 3-D.

I made the UV map in Maya, same program I made the model in. In this case I used textures from other Wingships, cut them up and pasted them about to fill in the map, but in general to make a mechanical rather than organic texture I'd use the marquee tools a lot, fill them in with color, make multiple layers in the same fashion and overlay/some-other-mode them.

In fact, here's a tuturial I read a few years back when I was trying to figure out hull paneling. It's for an older version of Photoshop, but the principle is the same.
