My first nooby go at messing round with textures, I am happy with the diamonds and the rear end. Was just trying some different textures so thought id share.

http://www.filedropper.com/buzzmod

(download this file button)

download the zip file and put it in your SS folder, in the content folder.

So in content folder you will have

Default (folder)
buzzmod.zip (my zip file)

and delete the text file in the cache folder called TexturesGenerated.txt that will trigger you have new models.

I was looking for tips on editing, its realy long winded to edit the png, and reload all the dds textures in game each time, is there a quicker way to just trigger your one texture to refresh? I tried blender but because the models are modular I didnt have a clue how to assemble all the pieces and lay texture over it. Whats the quick way?

the quick way is simply to uncheck dds and uncheck preload texture (make sure to keep high quality texture on).

Then you don't need to regen the cache everytime, just a game restart will reload the updated png and with texture preloading off, the client start pretty quickly.

Now as for the actual texture. I really like the result xD. I hope it get used in some content !

I like this, it definitely looks like an ancient and desiccated Aveksaka!

That looks awesome, man.

On another note, is there an easy way to figure out how to know which parts are a part of each ship? For example, the Subhatta'ayu. I delved around in the ships.xml a bit and imported probably 10 different .objs, but couldn't figure out which ones were the right ones.

ships.xml won't really help you out unfortunately, most of the parts are put together by the server. Here is how they are grouped.

FR = Samgrahaka (C), Bhisaj (B), Dhatri (A)
LF = Cara (C), Rajanicara (D), Vacohara(B), Saluna (A)
HF1 = Ayudhin (B), Subhatta (C)
HF2 = Isvasa (B), Samdita (A), Vykula (C)
CS1 = Vazi
CS2 = Antu

The models are then mainly made up of Main, Front, Mid, Rear.

So you couldn't resist adding a penis to some of the alien ships. What the fuck is wrong with you people? I pity you sometimes. Regardless, it's a bit amusing.
