I know i got a great computer, better then the normal, but i tested the SS engine it handed over 10 million polys in the same gal with about 27 fps so it is fine to up the limits, but not to high, and yes the ship i have it to many polys for this game, but eventfully the limits will have to be raised. And another reason I have high poly models is because every thing is attached, most of SS's ships are parts shoved in to other parts. On that note Ships that all parts are connected (except for the moving parts) will be easier to run. So if i went in and remade some of the SS models then put them in the game it would run smother. I have tested this. Although having all the parts is harder to model and texture, the end result is always better.
