The Tsunami's do max damage at range 0 and zero damage at max range. I think the 3 blasts do 1k, 2k, and 4k damage in increasing radii, so you really want to be as close to as many enemies as possible when you trigger it.

Wouldn't the concept of a Tsunami device be reversed? It does max damage once it hits land, aka max distance, not the other way around.

Indeed. The current function is similar to an explosion or supernova; damage gets weaker as force spreads out.

This is also the opposite of how the AI boss'es tsunami attack works, the further from poseidon the more damage you take.

If it does more damage and on longer distance it would be great tool for pvping snipers, seers and SDs . They usually have 60k shilelds ( not sure about seers but i think they dont have so much :) . SO if it would do 10k damage at 1k or 1,5k - it would be really nice toy to play with

Yeah I agree, if it was more damage at a further distance it would rape.

a weapon like this could make seers completely non-viable in PvP though, since most seers have ~20k shields with basil sheath, kles used to PvP with less than that iirc.

Not sure now that we have a few new setups for seer, but the tsunami would be such an unfair weapon against seers as it is.

Howabout this: To use a special on any target, player or ai, you must see it.

If you target it and it stealths, that does not count.

Makes sense.

Like a homing projectile can't home onto something it can't see.

That's not true. Poseidon's Tsunami attack is currently doing a fixed amount of damage to his target and damages other people less the farther away they are.

You mean you guys didn't know it was a splash damage laser?

Also, you know under what conditions he uses it?

I don't know, I've only ever done Poseidon once. But it shouldn't be hard to figure out.
