Re: Marking
when you select a slave/drone whitout holding down Shift u will be incapable of APing and if u try ur slave will stop fighting and move to the place u chosen, for example if u chose a gate it will jump and guard the other side and if u chose a base it will dock and deactiveate, in a battle its quite a strain to unselect the slaves and select the right one or none if thats the case so i sudgest making a key for unselecting them

Re: Marking
Thank you for clarifying this. I would have to agree that there needs to be a more obvious straight forward way to do things. Currently there is nothing that teaches you how to manage or control your possessions. I believe if you draw/drag a square on an empty spot on your screen it unselects your currently selected possessions. I personally Ctrl + Click all my possessions on and off in the bar above.

Re: Marking
All you have to do is to click-drag an empty box in space and it de-selects any slaves or drones you had selected.

Re: Marking
I can see it an issue later in the game for people with low resolutions. All you need is a FC with a couple of cap ship slaves, Fighters and a few AI and the screen can fill up pretty fast.
