mmm do you have a log file generated with that ?
If not ill have to send you a debug client generating more logs so we can figure out whats causing it. _________________ One of the first and proud flight controller. Visit our website: http://www.ef-team.com |

file named starsonata.log.* delete them all if you have more than one, then try to run it.

This is the log I got when I tried to run it: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/60130296/starso ... -180456.23 And tcgm, mac's are awesome, and I totally understand why some people don't like them and prefer w7 etc. but that's your opinion. Keep it that way. _________________ Blue Dwarf wrote: Statistically, they haven't changed. Except for the beef I gave. |

mmm, D3DERR_NOTAVAILABLE would be caused by an unsupported option at the device creation. Try renaming/deleting your userconfigs.xml file to see if reseting it to default fix it. (trying to start the game in fullscreen on a resolution not supported by your graphic card/monitor would do that.).
If it doesnt work, it will be a tiny bit more complicated, seeing how i cant reproduce the issue. But we can get to that step in time (would require installing directx sdk to switch direct3d to debugmode, and see what precise error d3d is returning. _________________ One of the first and proud flight controller. Since the patch, when a floaty is added or removed from my screen, all other rendering stops momentarily and then everything lurches forward in time to the places they should be.
I apologize if this is the wrong place for this post |

I don't know if this helps but I noticed that while my FPS has gone down to 20-35 from 60, my logic FPS is still at 60.

Okey dokey... I've found and deleted all of my starsonata.log files (There were 3 of 'em). Tried starting the client up again, no change. And every time I try to re-open the client another starsonata.log file appears in the folder...

I seem to have remedied the problem... If you mess around with the resolution options in the start up client it should fix the problem... It seems to only have a problem with certain resolutions...

How did you edit the resolutions? Whenever I launch SS it comes up with the message b4 the option screen.

Theres a drop-down bar in the starting up options. Change it to something weird.
