Post Scoop Changes
Change scooping from a one-time scoop to an active scoop, where holding down the scoop key will activate your scoop, taking a set energy per second and scooping a set number of items per second.

Add scoop range as a parameter.

Better scoops will scoop faster and have a larger scoop radius.

For example, the tech 0 scoop might scoop at 1 item per second and take 10 eps. You hold down the scoop key and after 1 second, you would get an item. The electroscoop might scoop at 2 items per second, but take 30 eps. A tech 15 Super Vacuum Scoop might be size 30, scoop at 6 items per second and have a range of 300 distance.

Is every level of the scoop going to 3x power the previous level or + 20 power per level,
it will make scoops an energy hog and some classes dont have alot left after a kill.
Please give us an idea about power usage per level

Yeah, gotta scoop those drones before the Forgone kills the 125k shield rhino engineer and his 1 Bubble and 5 AID's within the same volley.

Last time I checked, these ideas were created by and developed by the player base. This also goes for the transdimensional warping, the neurobinding of items and the empty galaxy removal. These aren't Jeff's ideas, he is just proposing them in the voting system now.

But we can say that Jeff finally got his eyes open and chose some fantastic ideas to be forwarded to the voting system!

I don't think there should be as much differentiation in the scoop speed. Noobs will want to scoop faster than 1/sec and I don't see any reason to keep them from doing so.

What enkelin said is true. Remember that lower level players have a higher chance of fighting AI without self destructors, so they often have to scoop even more gear than higher end players.

I don't understand why that was the case. Why can't higher level AI have their "power" based in skills applied to the AI, so we veterans have to scoop just as much crap!?

I think 1/sec isn't that bad, considering that electro scoop is just next level away and 2/sec seems decent already.
