That ship wasn't supposed to be live yet, so pretend it was a preview
I believe Blue Dwarf deleted the spawner now _________________ Important bug reporting information: Please check these Bug report guidelines before you make your first bug report, or if you are uncertain on how to do it. |

Corey books myself, atm. That IS the inspiration for the ship's name, right? _________________ pip8786 wrote: Dorin Nube... you win the best post on the forums ever award. Well done. If worker speed is increased as planned in the compensation package, won't that cause a ton of bases which are currently building the new xyz upgrades to run out of nukes?
If so, it might be a bad idea unless there is also a way to increase extraction rates as well as trade slave speed and capacity accordingly. _________________ pip8786 wrote: Dorin Nube... you win the best post on the forums ever award. How many Nukes per tick do they currently take? _________________ Hi, I'm Anil, a long-time player turned developer. If so, it might be a bad idea unless there is also a way to increase extraction rates as well as trade slave speed and capacity accordingly. How many Nukes per tick do they currently take? Each upgrade level on a T20 base uses 48k nukes per hour, and three can be running simultaneously on each base. Mets are over 17 mil per base per day if all three upgrades are running. Silicon is half of mets. I know that I'll just have to shut the upgrades down if build speed is increased without any other balancing factors. There's no way to triple my output and transportation of materials. Then again, I'm the kind of guy who double checked all my base extensions when the fix for that bug was announced, but apparently a big chunk of the player base didn't. I fear the same kind of problem where these nukes are concerned. _________________ pip8786 wrote: Dorin Nube... you win the best post on the forums ever award. Well done. So each base asks for 400 Nukes per tick (10 seconds), and then roughly 1 more unit per 10 seconds for fuel. That's plenty of margin to prevent the base from being out of fuel for any substantial length of time. If worker speed is tripled, it'll be even less likely for the base to ever run down to exactly 0 when fuel is drawn.

If worker speed is tripled, it'll be even less likely for the base to ever run down to exactly 0 when fuel is drawn. That makes sense. When it "runs out" in terms of having enough for the next tick, it should still have a couple hundred spares left. That's still not a very comforting margin if the slave supplying nukes gets shot in an attack, but it's better than the 0 margin I was imagining. On some bases it might even run out of mets or silicon first and leave a few thousand nukes. I'd probably still shut down the upgrades just to be on the safe side. Maybe turn them on for a bit here and there when I'm online. _________________ pip8786 wrote: Dorin Nube... you win the best post on the forums ever award. Well done. But in the base rebalance thread wise ones decided that supplying that amount of raw materials was a super trivial matter. So supplying more will just be a slightly less trivial matter no? Just scale up until the bonus speed ends. Easy.

Wise ones said the gear was basically free. Were wise ones wrong? Impossible, we instead are wrong. We do not understand the wisdom of the wise ones. _________________ http://www.starsonata.com/suggestions |

So supplying more will just be a slightly less trivial matter no? Just scale up until the bonus speed ends. Easy. Lol. I was one of those "wise ones." Turns out I was wrong. A big part of my problem was that I was using an outdated trade fleet at first. My EFF slaves used to move mountains back when they got fleet focus bonuses. Someone went and eliminated that while I was gone Anyhow, once I got that problem fixed, it got better, but it's still tough. _________________ pip8786 wrote: Dorin Nube... you win the best post on the forums ever award. Wow, wise ones were wrong. I wonder why they didn't believe what the unwise ones said all along... I must attain moksha in order to understand what this all means!

you cannot be of the "wise ones" if you admit you was wrong, that is not a quality the "wise ones" have.
