Alright so after tons of time and annoyance, I've finally finished the basic calculations. If you find any problems tell me!:
http://www.tinyurl.com/ss2calc I WOULD HIGHLY APPRECIATE IT IF PEOPLE WOULD TAKE THE TIME TO ADD STATS TO THE MAIN SHEETS! The way it works is that there are a couple sheets with Augs/Shields/Ships/Energies, and in order to calculate anything you have to add the stats of the gear to those sheets. I will be working on adding more gear (Expanders and Solar Panels are things I plan on putting in asap) as time goes on. The original document is not my own creation, was made by Andreas Simonsen. Wasn't completed and the math for Class Skills wasn't implemented, some of the math was wrong as well. I've been steadily fixing it up and trying to figure out how to put mods in. I know there are passive and active mods, and thats actually not a challenging thing to implement for things that you can only have one of ... Its the fucking modded weapons that I'm going to have to spend time implementing. Until then, make a copy and enjoy. It is highly likely that I won't get around to adding mods, but I'll do the best I can to make some sort of progress towards it. Don't forget some classes can equip two capacitors!

Why not make the link view-only so people are encouraged to make copies?

I suggest you add a stat for average DPS including critical hits.

Working on adding control skills as we speak. Class got canceled today, so I figured I might as well get as much done as possible on this. Rate of fire on the calc was broken, and has been fixed. Since you mentioned it, I will add a check to make sure RoF does not go above the cap. If it goes above the cap, is the RoF wasted?
I just realized how much I changed, whoever made this calc didn't design it to be expanded easily. EDIT: I don't think your copy of the sheet will update automatically, so you'll have to make a new copy of the original one. I will try to find a way to push the data to copies of the workbooks in the future. For now, if you add anything to any of the gear tabs you will have to remember to copy them into the relevant tabs in the updated Spreadsheets document. Compute R = expected ROF, and if it's over 10/sec then multiply your average DPS figure (which already has R multipled in) by 10/R to replace the expected ROF by the cap.

Noticed this on the newer shipbuilder thread. For some reason, i cannot get the berserker skills to work right on this sheet. Both Ordinance Supremacy and Arsenal Expert decrease my speed, and Imp Armor increases my damage? Am i doing it wrong or did someone mess the core sheet up?

The way it works is that the skills go from top to bottom, the ones you pick from the drop down menu don't actually do anything.

MasterTrader please feel free to copy the data I have extracted from the wiki.
StarSonata items/equipment data I have mapped the following items towards a list of Effects: - Skills - Overloaders - Augmenters - Shields - Ships - Engines - Weapons - Solar Panels - Capacitors - Diffusers - Hull Expanders - Radars - Scoops - Cloaks Should in more or less be the same format as your file, since I'm still using the same logic. There might however be some changes on the effect names, but can be easily changed (please make a copy first). There is also a worksheet stating the effects of the items modifications that can be applied with a bindomite, it is however just a work in progress at this time. I want it more in a database format. Also please note I changed the Drone X operations and so forth to rather list the individual effects to temporary drones instead, i.e. Temporary Drone Shield, Temporary Drone Damage .... |

I haven't edited this calculator in forever, mainly because I don't play this game very much anymore. If you want to make a copy of it and do some additions, feel free. I may come back one day, or get the urge to update it. But for right now I don't think I'll be touching the calculator in any meaningful way for quite some time.
