So apparently this is pretty longstanding issue, but someone pointed this out to me yesterday for the first time and I couldn't rest until it was fixed.
What has me scratching my head it how I didn't notice earlier... _________________ Hey, I'm Ryan! I've been playing Star Sonata since early 2005 and I've been involved with the development of the game since 2009. I do server and client programming mainly focusing on bug fixes, but I've also dabbled in creating a little bit of content too such as Captain Kidd. |

This would explain why text in the game area looked off for some names etc, never really could see why but this error in character placement would be why.

Waste of time comes to mind?
Surely there are more important bugs to fix. I have several unanswered / unsolved tickets myself. |

They ignore your bug reports? My Adum! I would think they would pay you a little customer support.
Working on font fixes does seem a little counter productive. |

If dev time => bug fixes worked at a constant rate, you would have a point. As it is, we should be glad that the devs come up with quick fixes for random bugs that are brought to their attention.
