You changed the junkyard kits I see but why not change them so you can't also upgrade gear. They come with lower tech gear/augs for a reason right? I think people are semi abusing this feature...

Make the proper tech gear come with the same tech kit but make them locked in.

That woudl ruin half the point of junkyard kits as an easy to lay kit that you then can upgrade with better gear? Once a junkyard kit is deployed what makes it different to an equal tech kit manually laid?

JY kits are significantly weaker in terms of resists and Aug slots. Upgrading them is fine, and pretty wasteful IMO.

Can you elaborate a bit more on this? My combat slaves right now can scoop stuff if i RTS them. What is actually changing? thx.

Currently if your slave kills something (an ai, an asteroid, etc) anyone can scoop the debris right away. The change is that the slaves can "own" the debris again, preventing others from scooping their loot like they used to. (squad mates and slave owners can still scoop loot owned by the slave).
