When you realize the Nuke Steam Power runs on Baobabs, an ultra abundant fuel, and Paxian Mythos Fire runs on Vis, a completely unique fuel that people don't carry around; that the PMF is a rare ruin that costs a bil to extract; and that if you go up two techs, you can get an item that costs 150m and blows the PMF out of the water with more regen, much smaller size, a small aug bonus, and DOESN'T USE FUEL. Since you didn't mention what energy you mean I guess you mean Faranji Energy 8, which has far less bank. I could agree with buffing PMF for how unusual its fuel is though.

Bank is most influenced by item size, meaning if you were to up the Reinvigorated Alien Heart to Paxian Mythos Fire size, it would have roughly the same if not even higher bank, keep the same regen, be fuelless, and have a small aug bonus. The Reinvigorated Alien Heart should also be a Common tier item. Junk Common Rare Heroic Legendary Legendary T14 = Common T16. Someone who actually wants to progress at a decent rate will have all the stuff (including EE16) within a day of obtaining the Paxian Mythos Fire.

How else do you attract people from old content to new content? Also the reason why Jungle items are godly and Tortuga/Tempest items are garbage.

So, I kind of marathoned yesterday and cranked this out the server/client support for this in record time... Still going to have to go through the balance sheets and teach them how to assign item rarity tiers, but I've already got that working for Energies so its just a matter of porting that to other item types. (time consuming, but not difficult)
I'd like everyone's opinion on a design choice for the inventory lists. Right now, I have the item rarity color override the item name, and I pushed the durability color to the item icon off to the left. Do you think I should swap those (tier color on item icon, durability color on name text)? Jey is worried that rarity color is a bit too intense when it takes over the item name.

Thoughts? I threw in a few new items with tiers, and only energies have bulk tiers added so far. Attachment: rarity_comparison.PNG I'm leaning towards the one on the right myself, though I also think maybe we could use an updated text color for the inventory.

I like the coloured icons better. However, it could be really cool if the name is in colors in the tool tip (right click, info) windows.

Whereas when you don't, the icons that represent the type of item should be colored, which is exactly how you have them projected here. Other games such as Star Trek Online have gone with this format (Info has a coloured name, icon is coloured when info tab isn't active) and I think it works very well. tl;dr: The way you have presented it in these pictures is perfect in my opinion. - Chrono
