Team Bases
A revision of team bases allowing for more control and better logs.
Core mechanic: Base owners can reserve excess storage space for team members in two ways:
1) A net communal limit that allows for up to X storage space to be used by team members; any items placed in this compartment can only be removed by a character on the account that put them there, goes for construction. Same rule for credits.
2) Individual lockers for accounts; same rules on construction/item ownership as above. This is basically the same, except you can limit the space consumed by one person and players are given the option of sharing lockers. This may be combined with a communal limit to ensure everyone has Y storage space reserved.
These compartments keep their own logs on production (etc) by specific players- effectively removing trade slave spam. I envisage these as mini TSL type things only the owner can see (no confusion over item ownership). Completed build items will be placed in the owner's locker, with further deposits being prevented if his allocated storage space is exceeded.
Any builds started under this system must rely entirely on the contents of the initiator's locker; by default basic commods are an exception to this rule, but specific item/commod usage may be set by the owner, either based on team rank or individual characters.
The old permissions system of global control could still be in effect, but limited to a far smaller group of people. Whether or not individual lockers should be open to the base owner is up for debate- I'd lean towards either *yes* or *optional* (given that extensions can be removed from an over hulled base).
Hopefully this system will prevent sabotage and allow bases to be used more communally, with a tad more trust.

One solution would be to prevent capture if the base is irradiated by a teammate without construction/management privileges. You can't dock for a while.

But someone else could dock instead?
Maybe just prevent team mates from shooting bases they don't have the rank to manage. I was going to suggest some kind of temporary team-kick effect, where they are treated as an offteam player with access to team chat, but that has more potential to go wrong. Drones don't seem like such a huge loss- they could create a black box upon death, or perhaps return fire.
